Flight of the Lone Star
Visit the Lone Star Flight Museum during your stay at Stella Mare RV Park this summer. While the weather is amazing most of the time, it can get hot. If it does, escape from the heat and head up towards Houston to check out a unique experience not just in the Lone Star State, but in the entire United States!
Lone Star Flight Museum
The Lone Star Flight Museum is an aerospace museum that features over two dozen historically significant aircraft. One of the factors that makes this place such a unique experience is that most of the aircraft are actually flyable. The price is good, only running $14.95 per adult, unless you’re there on a Monday this summer which means you’ll pay just $5.
Take a Plane Ride!
There’s an amazing experience that for a plane enthusiast is a must-do but does cost a lot more. The Museum offers flights to guests in some of their planes. The models currently available for flying are the Boeing PT-17 Stearman, Cessna T-41 Mescalero, North American T-6 Texan, North American B-52 Mitchell, and Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress.
Other things to do at the museum include visiting the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame, which honors those famous Texan aviators or visiting one of the many galleries including the Flight Academy, Waltrip and Heritage Hangars, as well as the special exhibits.
