October 17 – Galveston Cemetery Tour: M**der, Movie Stars, Military & More
Truth can be stranger than fiction. Join us in wandering through one of Galveston’s oldest cemeteries this Halloween season to hear stories about colorful characters from Galveston’s past including M**der victims, movie stars, military men and more. Come in costume or as you are – it will also be a great opportunity to take some photos to post for Halloween.
October 11 & 18 – Cooking Class at The Kitchen Chick: Halloween Sugar ‘Spookies’
Anybody can make cookies. Now you can make ‘spookies.’ Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Jump on your broom and fly over for a festive sugar cookie decorating class! Chef Stephanie will teach you her secret recipe for making foolproof sugar cookies and how to ice them perfectly. You’ll learn to pour, pipe, border, fill, paint and dust royal frosting! Each participant will leave with a dozen spooky Halloween cookies, as well as all the recipes, knowledge and confidence to make them again at home! This class is all treats – no tricks!
October 23, 24, 30 & 31 – Galveston Ghost Stories at the 1838 Menard House
Historic Galveston Island is no stranger to strange stories and occurrences. The oldest home on the island, the 1838 Menard House, serves as your host for a tour and talk of some of the island’s most haunted history. Complementary beer and wine will be served on the porch before the tour.
October 23, 24, 30 & 31 – Haunted Harbor Tours on SEAGULL II
Galveston Bay’s historic waters are tied directly to the beginnings of the island. On this special 90-minute tour, onboard Galveston Historical Foundation’s SEAGULL II, guests will hear the haunted history of Galveston’s harbor-side. These special cruises are BYOB.

Want to stay in the RV for Halloween? Make your own fun!
- Carve a Pumpkin. Find pumpkins in any grocery store and make your own Jack o’ Lantern.
- Play beach volleyball – Paint the volleyball orange like a pumpkin and put a face on it – Hey look! It’s another Jack o’ Lantern.
- Make some more S’Mores! All you need are graham crackers, chocolate Hershey bars, and marshmallows. Make them Spooky S’Mores with spooky peeps! Just put the chocolate bar on the graham cracker, toast the marshmallow over the grill or campfire, and plop the ooey-gooey spooky peep onto the candy bar. The chocolate will melt a little bit from the heat of the marshmallow, causing your kiddo to say, “Mom! Gimme s’more!”
